Beckie Elgin is a free-lance writer living in Southern Oregon. She grew up in a a zoo in Iowa and is currently working on a memoir/natural history book on her past and current experiences. Her focus at this time is on the plight of wolves, a species that has been unfairly maligned for centuries. A recent MFA graduate from Pacific University, Beckie served for three years as the Associate Fiction Editor for Pacific's literary publication, Silk Road.

Completed editing a YA book on the return of wolves to Yellowstone National Park entitled Running For Home. Book now available on Amazon.
Co-writing a script for a documentary film on Journey, the wolf that has traveled over 2,000 miles in search of a mate. He is now in California, the first wild wolf there in nearly a century.
Co-writing a children's book on Journey with Rebecca Oliem.
