Danny Hong Agency was set up in 2005 after I had served four years as an agent with Eric Yang Agency and also another six years with two of the leading publishers in Korea. Armed with a wealth of experience in agenting and publishing, I was able to develop close connections with numerous editors and publishers active in that market. Those experiences have led me back to my first love, the field of agenting.

Some of my internationally well-known projects include The 33 Strategies of War by Robert Greene, The Mistress of Art and Death by Ariana Franklin, Rembrandt’s Ghosts by Paul Christopher(National Bestseller in Korea), Every Dead Thing by John Connolly, Chaotics by Philip Kotler, Gone Tomorrow by Lee Child, and A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, to name a few.

In addition to my experience sub-agenting for US, UK, and European proprietors, I also serve as a representative for Korean authors (such as Shin Kyoung Sook and Kim Hoon) in the international market. They are some of the top novelists in Korea and I have licensed Song of the Sword by Kim Hoon to Gallimard (France), Shinchosha (Japan), Trotta (Spain), and Heliopolis (Taiwan). I am currently seeking US and UK publishers that will publish the work as well.

My preferred genres are fiction and business. However, I also enjoy reading non-fiction works as well, such as biographies, memoirs, moving non-fiction stories, history, humanities, and science.
