Ruthanne Reid was born in Pennsylvania, surrounded by Amish farmland, and spent her post-college years studying the feral surfers of Southern California. Currently, she lives in New England, where she is thrilled to have trees again.

Ruthanne has a degree she rarely uses in piano performance, a second (slightly better used) degree in Biblical science, and a very understanding husband who listens to her jabber about dreams she intends to turn into novels. Ruthanne and Duane currently live in New Hampshire, where they share a house with fantasy artist Celine Chapus of Purple Top Hat [dot] com and an assortment of ball-joint dolls.
