Michael Ebeling
Ebeling and Associates

Ebeling & Associates Literary Agency strives to go beyond traditional agency roles to promote author longevity through rigorous platform and promotion development. Why publish a book if it doesn't sell well?

We work closely with our authors to develop their careers as authors, helping them to distill and brand their message, and connect with readers. With 18 years of publishing experience, we have the expertise necessary to create best-selling authors. Our dedicated team guides authors through every step of the publishing path, from concept, packaging and proposal; to sales, contract negotiation and foreign rights; to PR, promotion including web development and internet marketing, and pitching to events and speaker's bureaus; and to long term planning for current and future books.

Our authors have appeared in virtually every major media outlet, including CNN, Fox News, Good Morning America, ABC News, CBS, MSNBC, NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes, Inc., BusinessWeek, Entrepreneur, O Magazine, and Harvard Business Review. Ebeling & Associates Literary has the industry relationships to make successful deals, as well as connect authors with professionals that support them in creating book sales once it hits the shelves. While getting published is obviously a key component to becoming a successful author, in the end careers are made on relationships: those with industry professionals, leading authorities and most importantly, with your readers.

If you've got a knock-out non-fiction book concept, we'd love to hear about it. Please send a short query and competitive proposal to Michael Ebeling at ebothat@yahoo.com or Kristina Holmes at kristina@ebelingagency.com.

We also offer consulting packages for clients not seeking literary representation, including coaching, promotion and platform building, internet marketing, proposal doctoring, manuscript editing, and concept development.

Michael and Kristina have redefined the literary agency for the twenty-first century. By taking a a fresh and creative approach to representation, they were able to place my book with a terrific publisher in a matter of days. I would highly recommend them to any author looking not just for an agent, but for a trusted business advisor.

Charles Jacobs, Fortune 100 management consultant and author of the forthcoming book, MANAGEMENT REWIRED: WHY FEEDBACK DOESN'T WORK AND OTHER SURPRISING LESSONS FROM THE LATEST BRAIN SCIENCE

When I first saw that the Ebeling Agency was in Hawaii, I almost didn't submit to them. You know, the old saying, "If they are real agents, they would be in NY." But I looked at their website and realized their philosophy matched my own. It's not all about marketing and platform. It's about selling a good book, and first having a good book to sell. It's also about developing your career and having agents that see the big picture for you and for your work. Michael and Kristina are in it for the love of writing and writers and it shows in everything they do. To put it another way, they're not jaded pricks. At least, not yet. I couldn't be happier at the Ebeling Agency, all the way in Hawaii, home of the POG-a-tini.

Chris Mancini, comedian and author of forthcoming book, PACIFY ME: A HANDBOOK FOR THE FREAKED OUT NEW DAD

Michael and Kristina go above and beyond the traditional agent/client role. Besides being brilliant and creative agents, they are mentors, they are friends, and they are like family! They are the driving force behind and the reason my book, The Bra Book, is poised to be such a success.  They not only stand behind an author and a project 100%, they actually immerse themselves in the project and give it all of their creative energy and brainpower.  Both Michael and Kristina have unique things to offer – besides a wealth of experience in the publishing world and numerous successes under their belts, with them, you get both the ying and the yang!
