We believe that interesting people write interesting books, and it takes, among many attributes, energy and persistence to build a long-term writing career. We also believe it takes an agency that will provide detailed editorial notes and sound career advice to develop and support a writers' career in the sometimes-bewildering world of literary and commercial publishing. We believe that the manuscript and proposal must be both irresistible and professional. We work tirelessly to negotiate the best possible deal and continue our support and advice through publication, promotion, brand name building and beyond.
We are especially interested in receiving non-fiction projects with a wide range of topics, including narrative non-fiction, popular culture, arts and culture, theater and performance, sports, travel, celebrity, biography, politics, memoir, history, new media and multi-ethnic.
We are actively seeking writers of literary fiction and commercial fiction-mysteries and suspense, thrillers, mainstream literary fiction, historical fiction, women's fiction, humor and satire and graphic novels. We will also seek writers in the genre of young audiences: middle grade and teen.
Working initially with a small client base, we are committed to providing a full service literary and intellectual property management.

Robert worked for 25 years in professional theater in Canada, and toured his acclaimed one-man-shows around the globe. He taught for nine years in the playwrights' unit at the National Theatre School of Canada, (Canada's Julliard) and was an adjunct professor in the Theater Department of Concordia University. He has written and published extensively and is author of three plays, and a work of non-fiction. He has edited over 20 plays, written adaptations for radio, for which he was nominated the prestigious Prix Italia. Robert's interest in publishing began when successfully negotiated subsidiary rights with Grove Press in 1988. Robert is widely read, traveled extensively, and can be called eclectic in terms of interest in fiction and non-fiction.

In the body of your email query write a one page and succinct description of your proposed work. One paragraph to globally describe the work, i.e. what is the experience the reader will have; one paragraph for a short synopsis; and one paragraph for a biography. Please include any publishing history, any literary prizes, and teachers and/or writing mentors.
Keep it brief and to-the-point.
Do not send attachments. Any emails with attachments will not be opened.
Non-Fiction:

Before sending your book proposal, pick up a copy of Michael Larsen's, "How to Write a Book Proposal" or check out any of the other excellent sources for writers thinking about putting together a non-fiction proposal. Remember, the book proposal is the central argument for your book.
After preparing your proposal, please send a one-page query email, globally describing the project, a little about yourself and what your expertise is in the field and what you think your platform is. Also please include any publishing history, prizes, previous media experience and exposure, journalism awards and any academic publishing.
Attach the proposal along with two chapters of the book, Preferably the first chapter and then one other chapter that best showcases your thesis, thoughts, and writing.
