The Spieler Agency is an independent literary agency founded more than twenty-five years ago by Joseph Spieler, a former editor for The New York Times, and later an essayist and critic. The agency's authors include historians, cultural thinkers, journalists, novelists, and academics. In addition to a growing list in theater and film, the agency has a strong interest in literary fiction, young adult fiction, general narrative non-fiction, science, religion, the environment, politics, current events, psychology and other topics of general interest.
