In the midst of these current economic times and our stressful lives, there are positive, little things that can make us feel good -- if even for a moment, each and every day, more than once a day. There is a Gem In Every Day. Our challenge is to notice them, dust them off and enjoy their brilliance -- all while simply living our lives. A Gem in Every Day is a self-help book that is comprised of a description/definition of everyday Gems, how to find them, a listing of them, exercises to practice identifying them, and finally a calendar to record them. The book is designed to help the reader create a feeling of happiness separate from situational experience. It is based upon anecdotal research and personal experiences of the author in her role as mother, wife, daughter, mediator, lawyer, judge, sister and friend.
A Gem in Every Day is a different kind of book in that it actually tells the reader how to identify the Gems and how to "dust them off". It is a guidebook of how to go mining in our lives for Gems, just like a miner would learn to mine for gems.
