Description:

In 2040 the Earth is in danger of collapsing. The rift between science and religion is growing as some turn to technology for answers, while others blame it for the rampant environmental destruction. Biological engineer Max Lowrie is brought onto a project that could pave the way for humanity's future. Self-replicating machines can mine materials from the harshest environments at no cost, creating access to as yet unheard of numbers of resources. Only Max sees the downsides and signs on to make sure things don't get out of hand. But the project is a success and even he's ready to admit he was wrong. When things take a turn and Max realizes how far the company went to manipulate him, he makes it his mission to bring them down. But evolution takes its course. The machines, designed to copy nature's strengths, become a force no one was prepared for.
In a blend of Michael Crichton and Stephen Baxter, CREATIONS explores a world where science, religion, and nature are about to come to a head.
