Drs. Barry Lubetkin and Steven Fishman are co-directors of the Institute for Behavior Therapy in New York. Both have a strong national and international platform. They have co-authored Shrinkisms (Things I Wish My Therapist Had Told Me), a collection of brief tales, slogans, parables and aphorisms from the country's top Psychologists.
Shrinkisms is not just a typical "front of the store" inspirational and impulsive purchase. It has never been done before in this form. To collect the wisdom of so many professional therapists in one practical easy to digest format is without precedent.
There are millions of people in some form of counseling, therapy or 12-step program, and if even a tiny fraction were to purchase Shrinkisms it would be a major success. In addition, many therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists will welcome this treasure trove of therapeutic wisdom. These tidbits of self understanding from a wide variety of sources can meaningfully enhance many therapists "talk therapy" and is ideal for the e-book format.
Both authors are internationally known Psychologists, with numerous professional and scientific credentials. They have co-directed the Institute for Behavior Therapy in New York City for the past 40 years. The Institute is the largest private Behavior Therapy center in the country providing well over 11,000 client therapy hours each year.

He has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows as well as being interviewed countless times by the print media. He has been a guest several times on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
