At his annual fan convention in Salt Lake City, Brandon Sanderson announced that he would publish a new novel in the Cosmere series in 2026. THE FIRES OF DECEMBER will be part of Sanderson’s “secret novels” series, which became the biggest Kickstarter project in the site’s history. The crowdfunding campaign will start in March and Tor will publish a print edition “in time for the Christmas season,” Sanderson told fans.
