Philip Ruppel has been named ceo of Phaidon Press and its affiliated companies, The Monacelli Press and Artspace, effective immediately. Ruppel has been coo of Phaidon since 2015. He succeeds Bob Miller, who will leave the company to launch an independent book and creative development company called Bookswork Press. Debra Black, said on behalf of the Phaidon Board, “For more than a decade, Philip has been essential to the exciting growth of Phaidon, Monacelli, and Artspace.
